Oh Hello.

I have good news. And I have bad news.

Good news:
Jen is BACK! I despaired of her ever blogging again and had taken her link OFF my sidebar. And then, like, a week later she blogged. Saucy little minx. So check her out because she tickles me like no other (metaphorically speaking of course...perverts).

Bad news:
Devon and Kendra AND d have out and out stopped blogging. I am saddened by this, but I know they're busy with their band (Devon) and their dog training business (Kendra) and I hope someday that they'll come back to me. I don't know what happened to d, but I think he might have been abducted by wild Canadian farm animals bent on revenge. Macoosh, Slag and Kav seem to have stopped as well, but I'm still going to leave an optimistic candle lit for them in the form of not taking their links off my sidebar...and maybe a Christmas miracle will occur. Here's hoping.

Not even remotely news:

Happiness is a Warm Gun
is, and has always been, my favorite Beatles song. Every one has one, you know.

You know.

19 keep(s) me blogging:

I'll check Jen out, and BTW, I've added you in my "recipro-links" Thanks!

I blog only as often as necessary to remain on your blog list and not one post more. It's a challenge, believe me.

I think Because would have to be my favorite Beatles song. Just because.

You Never Give Me Your Money is mine.

Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds is mine because it's all about far out.

rachel - ah yes, well...blogging is cyclical thing for many people. best to remember that i guess.

stinkypaw - please do, i think you'll enjoy her

waif - Because is a good one, though by far, not my favorite. i adore the version elliot smith did. it's rare to be able to say that about a cover.

kellie - you and the waif are big fans of Abbey Road, i see. well...i see your Abbey Road and i raise you The White Album.

future - yes, those song lyrics match your stream of consciousness perfectly.

I'm just happy that you're back blogging :)

I've already got Californian Jen on my blogroll, but maybe two won't hurt.

She's not...a girl... who misses much. Do, do, do, do, do, do....oh yeah.

is the best bit.

Mother Superior dropped the gun is the worst bit, and inaccurate to boot. Mother Superiors never drop guns.

That pic is so me. With booze. Glad to be back on the side bar.

Uh oh. I don't have a favorite Beatles song. I once broke up with someone who told me his favorite Beatles song was 'Octopus's Garden,' which struck me as frivolous, but in retrospect, at least the guy HAD one. I really don't.

I feel so ambivalent and wishy-washy.

Well well...finally SOMETHING that I think we may agree upon. "Happiness Is A Warm Gun" probably IS one of the Beatles' finest songs off of possibly their finest album...The White Album and Abbey Road are locked in eternal battle for being my favorite Beatles album...maybe one should just kill the other so it can be crowned? Afraid I have to call out Gorannas for "jumping the gun" though, because THAT is actually what Mother Superior did in the song....she didn't drop it. Crap...now I need a fix cause I'm going down.....

I dunno. That Jen. I mean she seems lovely but she does rather have the look of one who is ripping out her own still beating heart. You think if I brought her over a pie or something I'd be OK?

kara said...

or - oh ARE you?! actually...that's just nice of you to say.

goranas - i'm gonna have to back kansas on this one, goranas. mother superior jumped the gone...bitch doesn't drop shit.

jen - there should be no you without booze. or something.

mary - you were right to dump that jackass. well done. anyway...may i suggest you take a sunday and listen to revolver, sgt. pepper, abbey road, and the white album...with a couple glasses of wine...and see if anything comes to you.

kansas - you're cute.

sam - don't worry, she's just winking. that's how she winks. really. she told me.

i like pie.

i will blog no more forever.

and Norwegian Wood,,, prove me wrong.

froelica said...

Too many... how could you ever name a favorite? I can't even name favorites of bands I only kinda like...

Gotta give props to across the universe though. I'm starting to HATE that I'm associating that song with the movie (which I haven't seen, and have no opinion on, except that the main guy is cute). I do prefer the recorded versions by Fiona Apple and Rufus Wainwright, I gotta say. But Lennon wrote it, goddamnit.

You're both right, of course. "Mother Superior jumped the gun" is a fair lyric, but the accompanying melody still stinks.

"Day In The Life", "In My Life", Day Tripper" are mine. But I like Norwegian Wood and Across the Universe alot too. I can honestly say I don't know the one you're talking about. I'm sure I do, but not by name. I have to figure this out! I feel inferior! You know my family, I might be disowned!!

jahooni - yay thin mints!

devina - and it's sad that you do this. or don't do this. i like norwegian wood...but it's not the best.

fro - i went through a phase with that song. but Happiness has literally surpassed all other songs in the end.

goranas - i can't believe i mispelled "gun". what a tard.

sarah - the white album:
