Some psycho wench against the war in Iraq tried to go at Condi with blood (paint) on her hands at a House of Rep. foreign relations committee hearing. What was she thinking? Bitch could've fucked up Condi's hair! Notice I said "could've". Condi was all, "Oh no you didn't".
The only thing missing from this moment is...well...excitement. I'll admit it, I'm a little disappointed. No claws, no backhanding, no clever rhyming chants...just a dull drone of "war criminal" on repeat. If you're going to bother with special effects and a costume to protest...at least add a little pizazz to your message. Honestly, I'm disappointed.
This is why I'm a registered Independent. We know we're too lazy to physically protest what we don't agree with.

13 keep(s) me blogging:
She sounds about as articulate as Bush. She has the ears of the Secretary of State and that's the best she can do! What a waste of a decent protest opportunity. She must have muddled the advice "Keep it simple, stupid" in her head with "Keep it stupid, Simple." Fair enough on her point, right enough, but the blood might have been a spattering too much. It just made her look like a gimmicy crank who'd just read Protesting For Dummies, and I'm sure she's a decent enough woman.
Of course she doesn't have the ears of the Sec'y of State. Condi's ears are unique unto her, I've no doubt. There appears to be some sort of truth-flitering membrane over them for a start.
What about the second woman who writhed like a fish? She screamed as if she were being molested, but I think she was crying wolf. Arms and ankles are not molestable.
I'm confused. Why did they drag out the pink ladies? The camera missed that part. All I heard was something like "you're coming with us". Maybe he just hates pink.
hmm
interesting!
Obviously they're amateurs. No 60's training.
Yeah, highly anticlimactic. Why are so many protesters like that? I agreed with her sentiment, but not her delivery. As for the other two, their taste in protest attire was atrocious. Pink is fine for a breast cancer walk, not a war protest people.
What a waste of paint. She had the chance to wipe it all over Condi and what does she do?! Nothing.
I like the guy who just leans further back in his chair to allow the cop to drag out ol' pink. And seriously, "you're hurting me!" Waaah. Make it a little more convincing chick.
The defense department awarded a $16m contract to the Rand Corporation to fashion a kevlar hair-helmit for Condi. You could bounce a congressional pen holder off her head and she wouldn't even know it. It's all part of the Secret Service cutbacks. Being an expert on Condi, I am surprised you didn't know that!
This just makes me want to weep. I feel so old. Back in the sixties -- now, those were the days! Protestors were articulate, prepared, passionate, organized. The knew how to do it!
But this? This is just pathetic.
What's with the chick wearing the pink tiara? Everybody knows you're not supposed to wear pink tiaras after Labor Day. I'm appalled.
sam - if i had a video of her actually taking condi's ears, you can bet there'd be totally different commentary.
goranas - the 'you're hurting me!' woman? not even worth mentioning. she didn't even get close to condi...wus.
fro - there was a time when i hated pink enough to do the same.
rachel - i'm sorry i don't have a closed caption option for you. hopefully the visuals kept it mildly entertaining.
future - totally
waif - yeah, maybe they were too lazy to come up with different protesting ensembles and thought they could stamp out a breast cancer walk and an anti-war protest all in the same day.
thinker - yeah, you can almost see her having second thoughts before she gets grabbed.
apterix - i didn't! ugh, i'm so behind!
mary - well, the good news is...she looks a little too old to be part of my generation. but then, i think i'm younger than i am, so maybe not. shoot.
jill - i KNOW huh? i'm convinced THAT'S why she got arrested.
