Not Necessarily A Bad Thing

Scene: Kitchen...15 minutes ago.

Me(washing a paring knife): Sometimes I feel bipolar where you're concerned.
Kansas: What do you mean?
Me: Well...sometimes you drive me so crazy I can hardly stand it, and ten minutes later I never want you to leave my sight.
Kansas: Well, that's because you're a girl, and girls are fucking crazy.
...
Me: You better be careful, I'm holding a knife.
Kansas: Case in point.

Sometimes...I'm afraid I wouldn't know a healthy relationship if it hit me in the face with an oven mit.

He has a point!

LOL.

its not just you...girls ARE crazy...we seem to have a difficulty in just letting things BE. We overanalyze, project emotions, criticise, and expect too much...

I've had that very same conversation with my man several times, complete with knife in hand.

i think we're all that way. which just reiterates kansas' point even more.

It's true, we ARE that way.

Don't feel bad about it, female gorillas are just the same.

That sounds symptomatic of being on to a winner with Mr. Kansas, Kara.

How dull to be only ever adoring of each other all the minutes of the day. That sounds like Heaven, and Heaven - to me at least - sounds hideous. Interminable adoring; adoring without end; on and on with the bloody adoring throughout infinity. Sheesh! Having someone irritate you out of your very skin every now and again can only be healthy. It cleanses you and makes adoring him again fun.

So when is your year up so you can move past this weird first year rocky road? (And I mean that in a totally low fat way.)

That sounds like a perfectly normal conversation.
This coming from half of the strangest couple you know.

Sounds like a perfectly normal conversation to me. Ty and I have conversations like that all the time. Only difference is, Ty wouldn't have asked what I meant, cuz after 12+ years together, he'd already know the answer.

What a coincidence. That sounds exactly like my relationship. Sometimes for fun I pretend that he's the crazy one and not me.

sam - but it's the fact that both of those emotions happen within the same conversation that makes me go..."woah". you know?

goranas - i'm thrilled to bits to know that i'm a normal, healthy female gorilla. to bits, i tell you.

ax - what? you need a nap.

future - february will be a year of domestic bliss

sarah - i KNOW, and i totally don't want to be a poser.

laura - you two are hilarious. like dorm roommates.

jill - oh he's crazy too. but i'm WAY less understanding about his craziness. that's what makes me fantastically unpredictable.

Sounds eerily familiar...

Everyone else said what I was thinking. Either that or I'm not thinking at all.

But yeah, I wish I understood what it is that makes everything seem fine one moment and totally upside down the next. Hormones?
